What is your minimum order?  

Typically only a few cases depending on the item. We sell in full case quantities.  Custom colors and glass that is coated tend to have a larger minimum order quantity. Exact answers truly depend on the product you are looking to buy. Give us a call and we can provide product specific information. 

Can I get samples?  

Of course! Unfortunately they will be empty. It’s up to you to fill them with the fun stuff. In all seriousness, please call or email us with what you are looking for and we will get a couple samples out to you right away at no charge.

Do you have proper documentation for child-resistant certification for the CR products you offer? 

We take this very seriously! Yes, all child-resistant packaging products provided by Hero Packaging have been tested, passed and certified by independent third-party testing labs in accordance to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) Protocol and Standard testing outlined in Code of Federal Regulations (C.F.R.) Title 16, Chapter II, Subchapter E — “Poison Prevention Packaging Act of 1970 Regulations”, section 1700.20 “Testing procedure for special packaging”. These child safety standards were originally established by American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM D3475), which is a non-government organization that publishes voluntary consensus consumer product standards for the basis of federal mandates.

Does anyone at your company wear a cape? 

Not every super hero wears a cape. At Hero we pride ourselves on the notion of being our customer’s hero by providing options for the customer to be compliant and relevant in the ever changing cannabis regulatory environment. 

How much of my dry cannabis flower fits in a 2oz jar?  

That depends… are your buds big, light and fluffy or small, sticky, dense moist buds?  Usually 1/8th ounce of dry cannabis will fit nicely in a 3 fl. oz. jar with fluffy lighter strains tend to find themselves in a 4 fl. oz. jar and small dense moist buds in a 2 fl. oz. jar. We recommend having us send you samples of various container capacities for you to evaluate and see what’s best for you. 

What is a Dram?  

A dram is a weird old lab measurement that you don’t hear nor see much of in the packaging industry. Basically it is equivalent to 8 fluid ounces of water or 29.57 milliliters (ml). 

Are your jars and caps recyclable?  

100%!! All of our plastic jars, glass jars and plastic closures can be discarded into the recycling system. We also offer a few environmental conscience materials for our containers, such as 100% post-consumer (PCR) HDPE that is FDA compliant and made out of recycled milk jugs. In addition we have a 25% hemp plant material and 75% polypropylene blend. 

Are your plastic containers and caps BPA free and FDA compliant?  

Yes!  All plastic products Hero sells are BPA free and made out of FDA compliant plastic.

What is the relationship between Taral Plastics and Hero Packaging?  

Taral is the parent company that has over 50 years in the rigid packaging industry manufacturing plastic jars and caps primarily for the personal care industry. More and more customers over the years are looking for true compliant packaging and not knock off, cheap, so-called "compliant packaging" from overseas. Hero is a division of Taral that has laser eye focus on offering compliant packaging options to the medical and adult use cannabis industry.

Why don’t you have pricing online?  

As mentioned above, we are a manufacturer and wholesaler of rigid packaging. We have a large scale in-house manufacturing capabilities. In addition, We have huge buying power which makes us able to buy from all the big multibillion dollar packaging companies. We are not, nor do we want to be just an online commerce company where we do not get to meet or get to know our customers. We want the opportunity to listen about their packaging struggles and build that personal relationship as we solve their needs for great, reliable, relevant and compliant packaging. We tailor our pricing to the exact needs of each and every customer in order to get you the best possible deal. 

Minimums for custom colors?  

This depends on what product you are looking for in a custom color. Plastic jars and Closures are usually 25,000 pieces. Glass only comes in clear or translucent amber, otherwise the glass needs to be sent to be painted which usually has a minimum run of 10,000 or more. 

What is your return policy?  

We can accept un-opened and un-used items if you send back. However, every scenario is different so please contact us directly to see how this would work for you. 

What is your typical lead-time to ship a new order? 

We want to get your products to you ASAP. We try to process your order the same day and ship shortly thereafter. When demand is high it may take an extra day or two to process and have the warehouse pack for you. Please contact us for specifics regarding the product you are looking to purchase.
